RECOUNT TEXT about holiday, compiled by Wahju Indrawati, MP.d ( SMPN 2 Jombang)

Contoh 1: "My Unforgettable New Year Holiday"

Last New Year's holiday was very memorable for me. In the morning of December 31, my family and I went to Bogor to visit our relatives who live there. We spent the whole day having fun with my cousins at their house.

At night, we went to a carnival near the Botanical Garden to celebrate New Year's Eve. The carnival was very crowded and lively. There were many food stalls selling snacks, drinks, and local dishes. We tried various foods while waiting for the fireworks.

When it was almost midnight, we gathered at an open field with many other visitors. Everyone looked so excited. At midnight sharp, beautiful fireworks with various colors decorated the sky for about 10 minutes, accompanied by cheerful shouts of 'Happy New Year!'. It was such a fantastic moment.

After that, my dad drove us to look around the city which was still bustling despite being so late into the night. We finally arrived home at 2 a.m., feeling so happy and content with our New Year celebration this time. It was an unforgettable holiday for me and my family!

Kami mencoba berbagai makanan sambil menunggu kembang api.

Saat hampir tengah malam, kami berkumpul di sebuah lapangan terbuka bersama banyak pengunjung lainnya. Semua orang terlihat sangat bersemangat.

Contoh 2: "My Holiday in Singapore"
Last summer, I went on a trip to Singapore with my family. We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights.

On the first day, we visited Sentosa Island. We played at Universal Studios theme park all day long. I had so much fun enjoying different rides like the roller coaster, lazy river, and bumper cars. The Transformer ride was my favorite.

After an exciting day at the theme park, we watched the spectacular Wings of Time show. The dancing fountains and colorful lights were awesome.

The next morning we went to Marina Bay Sands. We did some shopping at the luxury branded stores. Then we went up to the Skypark at the rooftop. The infinity pool was amazing but too bad we couldn't dip in as only hotel guests were allowed.

The view from up there was stunning with the Singapore skyline. In the evening, we went on a duck tour around the Singapore River to enjoy the sights and buildings.

On our third day, we visited Merlion Park, Esplanade, and Garden by the Bay. My little sister loved the giant Merlion statue. She insisted on taking lots of pictures with it.

At the Garden by the Bay, we walked through the beautiful flower domes and towering supertrees. That night we watched an interesting laser show.

I enjoyed all the places and activities during my holiday in Singapore. It was a memorable and fun trip with my beloved family.

Di hari ketiga, kami mengunjungi Merlion Park, Esplanade, dan Garden by the Bay. Adik perempuanku menyukai patung Merlion raksasa. Dia bersikeras mengambil banyak foto dengannya.
